Pet safety tips and topics with emphasis on organic lawn care to prevent canine cancer
In January of 2010 I lost the love of my life – Max. In August of 2009 I began to notice that my Westie (West Highland White Terrier) was having trouble urinating. Many Veterinarian appointments later I learned that Max likely had cancer. This diagnosis was confirmed after a visit to a Tampa Veterinarian Oncologist. The type of cancer Max had was not treatable. All we could do was try to make the last months of his life as comfortable as possible. It was time to let Max go home in January and that was the saddest day of my life.
I dove into research about Canine Cancer after losing Max. I was disturbed to learn that his exposure to herbicides and pesticides were likely the cause of his cancer. I was heartbroken to know that, had I known the dangers, I could have prevented the loss of his life. – Toni Hedstrom
