In The Spotlight With Toni Hedstrom
Every time I drive through the community of West Meadows in New Tampa, I can’t help but admire the neatly kept homes, meticulously manicured lawns and overall tranquility of this homey suburban area. These tightly knit neighborhoods (there are twelve diverse groupings of houses) are touted as one of the best places to live in Florida, and if you spend a little time getting to know the area, you will understand why.
West Meadows is a well-established development, having been around for more nearly 20-years and each village has characteristics that distinguish itself from others, such as architecture, dwelling orientation, etc. The communities are a magnet for families, young professionals and retired alike who enjoy the numerous amenities and outstanding features, including highly rated schools, recreational facilities and close proximity to shopping, dining and entertainment options. Another desirable quality is the low homeowners Association Fees and CDD. With the ever-increasing cost to live in an amenity-rich community, the fees in West Meadows are both practical and reasonable.
The central location is served by quality roads such as New Tampa Blvd., Highwoods Preserve Parkway and Bruce B. Downs Blvd., giving residents easy access to major highways like I-75 to whisk them into Tampa and St. Petersburg or other metro areas. Commuting has never been easier. Despite these well-maintained roadways, traffic is not a concern and homeowners like the peace and quiet that is offered when they reach their neatly constructed homes.
Inside the community, tenants take advantage of creature comforts such as an oversized swimming pool with huge water slide, heated lap pool, and a splash pad for the little ones. The expansive, well-appointed clubhouse is perfect for parties and club socials. There are tennis courts for your playing pleasure as well as sizeable gym facilities that include weights and exercise machines of various types.
West Meadows has two playground areas that are shaded by a canopy of trees to protect the little ones from the Florida sun and a plethora of equipment that includes swings, jungle gyms, monkey bars, balance beams and more. Your four-footed friends aren’t forgotten either. There are two large open areas set aside for dog parks.
Let me show you why West Meadows should be your next destination!
