Sing “Under the Sea” Tampa style @ Florida Aquarium

While I am writing this, I am experiencing the fun afternoon rain. It’s not horrible or anything, just makes me think of an inside thing to do in Tampa.  So, I’d like for you to guess what I am writing about.  Here are the clues:

1.       Located in Downtown Tampa by the Cruise Ships.

2.       Winter the Dolphin doesn’t live there, but maybe one of her relatives do.

3.       Once you leave, you will want to sing “Under the Sea!”

Have you figured it out?  Well, yes, it’s an aquarium, and it’s called the Florida Aquarium. This aquarium is a nice size for a short stop on an afternoon rainy day.  There are many things to do including exploring the many different types of fish, sealife, and habitats such as the Wetlands or Coral Reefs.  My favorite sea animals were bright colorful fish in the coral reefs, the sharks, and the penguins.  There are other activities there as well like swimming with fish, dolphin cruises, penguin viewings, and some fun shows as well.

Once the rain stops, get some fresh air outside.  There is a water play area for the children, and an area to sit and have a snack. The colors they decorate with reminds you of a Caribbean vacation in the Bahamas or Jamaica

If you would like to save some money when visiting the Florida Aquarium, go on a Thursday after 5PM. Every Thursday starting June 28th through August 2nd the Aquarium will be open until 8pm and you can get in at the special ½ off rate starting at 5pm.

Also, you can get $5 off by going through the Summer Savings Card site. Click here to get to it.  Once you leave, you will feel so refreshed, happy, and you will want to get on with your beautiful sunny day in Tampa Bay.  Don’t forget to sing “Under the Sea!”
