Is it a Good Time to Sell?
Everyone knows that Summer is the hottest time of year – not only for weather, but for real estate sales….or, is it? Think about this; when do you think the most eyes are on Florida? Yes, you can imagine the beaches and summer vacations. But, when our northern friends are snowbound in their homes, they are DREAMING of Florida. They escape to Florida during this time of year and imagine a life without SNOW – FREEZING COLD -you get the picture.
Misconception of Florida Fall and Winter
About this time of year, many folks put plans to sell on the back burner. They decide they will wait until ‘After the Holidays’ or, ‘Maybe Next Year’ or, ‘Let’s Just Wait till Spring’. We are already suffering from low inventory and, this mindset creates even LOWER inventory. The thing people forget is that now – THIS – time of year, more people are moving and dreaming of moving to a place like Florida. Now is the time to be on the market when inventory is low and buyers are strong.

Fall and Winter Home Sales
Another thing to consider is the Buyer’s rush to close on a home before the end of the year. They must own the home prior to January 1st in order to qualify for the Homestead Tax Exemption the coming year. This is a valuable consideration to a buyer because it will directly impact their monthly payment.
